Dollar extended his calm behavior and didn’t pare any losses which could have been a pressure for Asian market, but in reality the entire picture seems pretty calm at the moment. Major dollar’s peers are mixed while oil is in the green zone.
American tech and social stocks are also mixed and there is no way to tell when the most popular names in the market are going to recover.
Hang Seng surged 0.9 percent.
Topix rose 0.6 percent.
S&P 500 futures gained 0.1 percent.
MSCI Asia Pacific added 0.5 percent.
Nikkei Stock Average 225 is up by 1.09 percent.
Dow Jones Industrial Average added 0.44 percent.
Dollar is steady against the six major peers.
Euro is steady - $1.1295.
Pound lost 0.1 percent - $1.274.
Yen was flat – 113.83.
Apple stock lost 0.22 percent - $174.24.
Facebook shares are down by 1.01 percent - $135.
Amazon stock is still - $1581.42.
Tesla decreased 0.6 percent - $343.92.
WTI oil added 1.28 percent - $52.22 per barrel.
Brent is up 1.31 percent - $61 per barrel.
Gold lost 0.5 percent - $1214.1 per ounce.
Silver is up by 0.02 percent - $14.14.
Platinum added 1 percent - $832 per ounce.
Palladium is up 2 percent - $1143.
