27.12 - enjoy your incoming break!

1.03.2019

One can say that today is the last more or less active day of trading of the year. On Monday a lot of traders are going to choose preparation for the New Year rather than trading and moving favorite assets. And surely, that is going to have even more influence on liquidity and performance of even the most popular assets that is has already been having. Are we prepared for that? Well, we better be, that is what I have to say on the subject.

And whole we have at least some activity, we can enjoy the growth that has been going on in the markets for today. Particularly because of both sides of the trade war speaking on the matter. Trump said that he is going to sign the deal no matter what and Xi is already consulting the experts on the incoming risks for Chinese economy. Not a bad sign if you ask me.

The only thing today that is clearly falling once again in the greenback. We can judge by the fact that euro and pound as well as Canadian dollar have the possibilities to push back on the greenback, which is not the worst thing that could have happened in the end of the year. Maybe that is just the breather that USD takes in the end of the year and we will see its fury in the beginning of 2020? Remains to be seen.

Oil continues to recover after the supply talks rattled the market, which is a welcome change after days and days of declines for the crude. Precious metals are losing their pace today. Even though these instruments were our saviors for a long time, it seems the time has come for them to slow down for a little bit.
